Code of Ethics
[Preamble]
Based on the spirit of the Korean Medical Service Act and the philosophy of patient-centered care, LIAN Dental Clinic practices the values of 'honesty, precision and empathy' and, as a leader of dental care in the Gangnam area, has trained responsible healthcare professionals who can contribute to the health of the community and patients. By creating a care environment in which everyone is respected through non-discriminatory care, and establishing the dignity of patients, the history of practice that has changed daily lives through care is LIAN's mission and identity.
Building on this tradition, LIAN Dental Clinic aims to establish ethical standards in every area of care, research and sharing and to practice communal responsibility. Based on the LIAN spirit of 'honesty and sharing,' we will contribute to creating a new care culture through practices that lead members' independent participation and change.
All members of LIAN Dental Clinic deeply recognize these ethical values and principles of practice, pledge to practice them in daily life, and proclaim the 'LIAN Dental Clinic Code of Ethics.'
As evidence-seeking specialists and as family dentists who stay beside patients based on the care philosophy of 'honesty, precision and empathy,' LIAN Dental Clinic clinicians practice as follows.
First, clinicians respect patients as persons, explain thoroughly so that patients' right to choose and right to know are guaranteed, and treat and guide fairly without discrimination throughout care.
Second, clinicians seek evidence, make accurate diagnoses, recommend only the treatment that is truly necessary, and observe medical ethics.
Third, clinicians respect colleagues' care and research activities and carry out all duties fairly and reasonably.
Fourth, clinicians observe all clinic regulations, cooperate with infection control, and work to maintain LIAN's dignity and honor.
